We are working with a global leader in satellite communication technology, who are expanding their Centre of Excellence in the UK. They are looking to hire an experienced System Test Engineer to take ownership of system-level verification and validation for next-generation satellite communication products.
This is a hands-on role with real technical influence, working across hardware, software, RF and regulatory compliance, and collaborating closely with engineering teams in the UK and South Korea.
The role:
- Lead system-level Verification & Validation activities across the full product lifecycle
- Own integration testing for new L-band satellite terminals and systems
- Develop and execute test plans, procedures and reports covering regulatory compliance, operator approvals and product specifications
- Work closely with design and development teams to refine test strategies and resolve issues
- Manage compliance and specialist testing with external test laboratories
- Support root cause analysis, documentation, and knowledge sharing across teams
What they are looking for:
- 5+ years experience in system, integration or validation testing across hardware and software
- Strong background in test documentation, debugging, failure analysis and problem solving
- Solid understanding of EMI/EMC and regulatory compliance testing (ETSI, FCC, EU Directives, etc.)
- Python experience for test automation, equipment control and data analysis
- Excellent communication skills and a structured engineering mindset
Nice to have:
- Experience with satellite, RF or wireless communication systems
- Hands‐on use of RF and electronic test equipment (Spectrum Analysers, VNAs, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters)
- Exposure to type approval, homologation or field trials
- Jira or similar work and defect tracking tools
