Job Purpose
Manage and grow a portfolio of Business Banking and Trade Finance clients across African and OECD markets. Originate, structure, and manage new and existing client relationships to drive growth in assets, liabilities, and trade income. Identify cross‐selling opportunities in trade, deposits, and FX within client portfolios. Support the Bank's strategic objectives in expanding Trade and Business Banking operations in collaboration with teams in Accra and the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead relationship management for Business Banking and Trade Finance clients.
- Originate and structure credit facilities to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Conduct regular client calls and maintain reports in Salesforce.
- Prepare and maintain annual account and portfolio plans.
- Ensure KYC and compliance documentation are current and complete.
- Collaborate with Credit Risk, Credit Administration, and Operations for smooth transaction execution.
- Monitor portfolio quality, identify risks, and implement mitigation actions.
- Mentor Relationship Managers and provide guidance on client management and credit matters.
- Generate management reports and track performance metrics.
- Develop strategies to grow low‐cost deposits, trade assets, and FX income.
- Track competitor activities and identify new business opportunities.
- Act as first line of defence in managing AML, CDD, and financial crime risks.
- Uphold ethical conduct, professionalism, and compliance with Bank policies.

Experience
- 7–10 years' experience in Business or Corporate Banking.

- Hands‐on experience in International Trade Finance and related instruments (LCs, guarantees, collections).
- Proven success in generating new business and achieving growth targets.
- Experience engaging directly with exporters/importers on trade documentation and transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Professional or postgraduate qualifications (e.g., ACIB, CFA, ACT, MBA) preferred.
IT Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Working knowledge of Core Banking systems and Salesforce CRM.
