An established precision engineering business based in South Ruislip is currently seeking a reliable and detail-focused Assembler to join their team on a temporary basis due to increased workload. This is a hands-on role within a busy manufacturing environment, ideal for someone with previous assembly or production experience who enjoys working with precision components and following technical instructions.
The Role
- You will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and sub-assemblies, ensuring all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly of mechanical components and sub-assemblies
- Working from engineering drawings, diagrams, and assembly instructions
- Using hand tools and basic workshop equipment safely and correctly
- Carrying out visual and basic quality checks on assembled parts
- Identifying and reporting any defects, faults, or missing components
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Supporting wider production and workshop tasks where required
- Working to production schedules and deadlines
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an assembly, manufacturing, production, or engineering environment (preferred)
- Confident using hand tools and basic assembly equipment
- Ability to follow instructions and technical drawings
- Good attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
