At Ansys, we are reimagining the way complex simulation software is deployed—across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments. We’re looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer who specializes in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of our automated infrastructure strategy. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in shaping and scaling our deployment platforms using tools like Terraform, enabling repeatable, secure, and resilient environments. Your deep knowledge of IaC will be key to minimizing operational overhead, enforcing consistency, and accelerating product delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the infrastructure lifecycle using Terraform to build modular, reusable, and secure infrastructure-as-code solutions across AWS and on-prem platforms.
  • Standardize infrastructure deployment patterns to support Ansys Cloud, Customer Cloud, and on-premise installations.
  • Automate the provisioning, scaling, and configuration of environments used by internal teams and customers.
  • Partner with developers to embed IaC into CI/CD pipelines and release workflows.
  • Drive improvements in environment reliability, configuration consistency, and infrastructure observability.
  • Contribute to infrastructure design discussions with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and operational simplicity.
  • Support secure identity and access solutions using Keycloak, and scalable routing with Traefik in containerized environments.
  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis, ensuring learnings feed back into IaC practices.

You Have

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (MS or PhD a plus).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform, including module creation, remote state management, and Terraform Cloud/Enterprise.
  • Proficiency with AWS infrastructure (EC2, IAM, VPC, RDS, etc.).
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or equivalent.
  • Experience using Git to manage infrastructure code and workflows.
  • A passion for eliminating repetitive tasks through automation and codification.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience deploying and managing Keycloak for identity and access control.
  • Knowledge of Traefik for ingress management or reverse proxy in Kubernetes or container environments.
  • Deep familiarity with Linux systems administration.
  • Experience designing IaC standards and promoting DevOps/SRE best practices across teams.
  • Exposure to policy-as-code (e.g., Sentinel, Open Policy Agent).

Why Join Us

At Ansys, you won’t just support infrastructure—you’ll define how it’s built, automated, and scaled. This is a chance to influence platform strategy at a global scale, and be part of a forward-thinking team that’s reshaping software delivery in simulation technology.
