We are looking for an Integration Engineer to join us and support us with some of the largest digital transformation projects across the NHS and Healthcare space. We are an employee-owned, digital transformation consultancy headquartered in Leeds. We are proud to support a range of healthcare clients, implementing complex integrated solutions to deliver positive outcomes for healthcare providers and patients.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading the design and development of healthcare client integration solutions.
  • Acting as Answer Digital’s SME in one or more areas of the healthcare integration space.
  • Acting as a champion for one or more technical quality processes, internally and on client projects.
  • Contributing to the development of Answer’s Integration and Data Standards capability and providing leadership for the Integration Academy.
  • Supporting the continued improvement of our healthcare integration offering.
  • Supporting the continued learning of Answer Digital’s Integration Specialists to ensure that our team’s knowledge remains current.
  • Experience in managing multiple deliverables concurrently.

What you’ll bring to Answer:

  • Integration experience in one or more NHS settings e.g., national, acute, community and social care, primary care.
  • Experience in working with healthcare interoperability and integration technologies (e.g., HL7 v2, FHIR, Mirth, InterSystems HealthConnect).
  • Relational database expertise in the context of supporting healthcare integration solutions.
  • Confidence and ability to actively participate in technical architecture, strategy, and process definition discussions.
  • Ability to coordinate the delivery of more junior integration specialists.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a technical and non-technical language.

It would be great if you also had experience in some of these (but if not we’ll help you with them):

  • Experience using IHE standards and HL7 CDA.
  • Development and/or operational experience with commercial integration engines (e.g. InterSystems HealthShare).
  • Client-facing experience gained from a technical consultancy or software vendor.
  • Agile outlook and principles.

Recruiter call: This normally lasts 15-30 minutes. We will talk to you about Answer Digital, the type of work we do, and an overview of the role. We’ll ask you some questions about your current situation and why you’re interested in working here. Skills based interview: This interview will be with 2 people, normally from the team you’re applying to work with. We can do this stage remote or in person, whichever you’d prefer. This interview will involve questions around your experience, the skills you’ve gained and the work you’ve done. We’ll also ask questions about the role and challenges you might face and how you’d face them. Here, we’d recommend asking questions about the role, the day to day responsibilities and what life in the team is like.

Final interview: This interview will be with 2 of our Leadership team, either our Directors or Capability Leads. It will focus on our culture and values, talking about our values and what they mean to us as well as understanding what values are important to you and how you like to work. This interview is about making sure Answer is right for you, as much as the other way around. Here, we advise you to ask as many questions around our business model, our ambitious growth plans and anything to do with Answer as a business.
