Location: London or Leeds

Launched in 2018, Anstar is a rapidly expanding start-up in the speciality chemical distributor space. We are on a mission to greatly improve the chemical distribution industry, leveraging digital-first strategies and customer-driven solutions. We have quickly gained prominence in the UV-curable raw materials market, including Photoinitiators used in inks, coatings, adhesives, 3D printing and electronics. In just five years since welcoming our first customers, we have experienced remarkable growth. As we continue to grow, we're seeking an ambitious individual with previous marketing experience, strong commercial acumen and critical thinking skills to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. You will play a key role in developing and executing Anstar’s marketing activities, as well as supporting our Sales Managers with customer service and operations. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Marketing: Develop and execute marketing initiatives across various channels, particularly social media (LinkedIn etc.) and online chemical marketplaces
  • Optimise Anstar’s digital presence through SEO best practices
  • Create engaging content for the company website, blog, social media, and marketing collateral (e.g., brochures, case studies, presentations)
  • Assist in managing the company website content and ensuring brand consistency across all communications
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and activities
  • Attend trade shows and networking events to promote Anstar’s brand
  • Internal Sales: Conduct supplier, market, competitor and customer research to drive Anstar’s business intelligence
  • Customer relationship support – assist Sales Managers in nurturing customer relationships, handling client inquiries, and maintaining records in our CRM system
  • Data integrity and analysis – ensure Anstar data accuracy and integrity and assisting in analytics to drive insights for business growth
  • Assist Anstar’s Ops team with various tasks

Essential requirements for the role:

  • BSc from a reputable university
  • Experience in marketing, sales support/ customer service
  • Experience with design and producing marketing collateral
  • Some familiarity with/ research into chemicals industry
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Analytical mindset with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication in written and verbal English
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Tech-savvy – highly proficient with Microsoft Office products, design software and ChatGPT related technologies
  • Able to work independently under remote management (e.g., WFH)
