Security Clearance: Due to the nature of our work, all applicants must be eligible for UK security clearance. This requires holding a British passport and having lived in the UK continuously for the past five years.
An experienced Test Lead is sought to manage a testing service comprising 7 to 17 Test Engineers. The team is responsible for integration and end-to-end testing of a major IT Service Management (ITSM) function within a secure environment. The role offers the opportunity to shape testing strategy and governance, with scope to introduce automation in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver the project’s Test Strategy and governance framework
- Plan and assure integration testing of new or modified capabilities
- Lead functional integration, end-to-end, and API testing activities
- Estimate testing effort for new workstreams to support accurate project planning
- Align testing practices with industry standards and best practices
- Provide assurance of third-party supplier testing
- Collaborate with Business and Process Owners to develop high-coverage test cases
- Manage defect lifecycle and reporting
- Lead and mentor a team of deployed Test Engineers
- Produce monthly service outcome reports
- Identify and manage testing risks
- Proven leadership in test management within secure environments
- Strong background in manual testing with potential to evolve into automation
- Familiarity with ITSM, ITIL, and ServiceNow platforms
- Experience in delivering client-side assurance and working with third-party vendors
- Desirable: Experience implementing test automation frameworks
