Technical Delivery Manager – Software Projects
Location: UK-wide
Salary: £90,000 – £120,000 (depending on experience)
Are you an experienced software delivery professional with a track record of hands-on success across complex, multi-workstream projects? We’re looking for a Technical Delivery Manager to join a forward-thinking organisation delivering high-impact digital transformation initiatives across the UK.
In this high-accountability role, you\’ll be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of software and application projects — from shaping pre-sales solutions through to overseeing successful live service transitions. You’ll be central to the delivery of innovative, scalable, and high-performance platforms, often involving migration programmes (cloud or otherwise), and working closely with a cross-functional team of SMEs and engineers.
What We’re Looking For:
- 9+ years’ experience delivering software/application solutions in technically complex environments with multiple workstreams
- Strong consulting experience
- Strong delivery leadership background
- Software/applications background
- Cloud migration or general migration project experience is highly desirable
- Demonstrated success in multi-workstream delivery involving modern software practices and architectures
- Confident stakeholder management skills, particularly with C-level and senior technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to drive technical programmes independently without relying on large teams for detail execution
- End-to-end understanding of the software delivery lifecycle , from shaping and estimating work through to deployment and BAU handover
- Excellent grasp of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), and tooling such as Jira and Confluence
- Experience supporting pre-sales , technical scoping, and commercial governance is a strong plus
