We're supporting a leading global consultancy that is continuing to expand its Digital Experience and User-Centred Design team. They are looking for an experienced User Researcher to join their Newcastle-based team, working on impactful digital transformation programmes across government and regulated sectors. This is a great opportunity to influence the design of large-scale digital services, working alongside multidisciplinary Agile teams to ensure products are shaped around real user needs.
The Role
- Youll play a key role in understanding user behavior, generating insights and helping teams make evidence-based product decisions.
- Youll be responsible for planning, recruiting and conducting user research activities.
- Running remote and in-person research sessions, analysing findings and presenting recommendations.
- Turning user insights into actionable improvements for design and development teams.
- Collaborating with Product Managers, Service Designers and UX Designers in Agile environments.
- Championing user-centred design practices across complex transformation programmes.
What Theyre Looking For
- Commercial experience as a User Researcher.
- Strong understanding of GDS standards and delivering GDS-aligned services.
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
- Confidence facilitating research sessions and engaging with stakeholders.
- Ability to translate research findings into meaningful product improvements.
- A strong portfolio showcasing user research, usability testing, personas, user journeys and UX artefacts.
