Data Engineer Newcastle (Hybrid) Permanent Competitive salary + package Im currently working with a global consultancy to hire Data Engineers to join a growing Advanced Technology team delivering large-scale data solutions across public and private sector clients. This is a hands-on role where youll work with modern data technologies, building scalable pipelines and real-time data platforms that power analytics and AI-driven decision making. Building and optimising scalable data pipelines using Java (primary) and technologies like Kafka, Flink, or Spark Developing real-time streaming solutions and event-driven architectures using AWS services (Kinesis, MSK, Lambda, Glue) Contributing to data architecture, modelling, and best practices across modern data platforms Collaborating with analytics, AI, and product teams to deliver high-quality, reliable datasets Strong experience in data engineering or large-scale data platforms (3+ years) Proficiency in Java or Python Good understanding of distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS ideally) Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices Work on high-impact, large-scale data projects Strong career progression within a global organisation This role requires eligibility for UK security clearance (5 years UK residency).
