Join a major UK defence programme delivering one of the most advanced submarines ever built. This role will see you apply your Royal Navy submarine expertise to ensure maintenance and repair procedures are accurate, safe, and ready for operational use.


Location: Hybrid (UK-wide with monthly travel to Barrow-in-Furness)


What you’ll do



  • Review and verify submarine maintenance and repair requirements

  • Develop and update technical documentation used by operational crews

  • Work across all submarine systems – from nuclear propulsion to auxiliary equipment

  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and stakeholders across the project lifecycle


What you’ll bring



  • Background as a Royal Navy submarine operator or maintainer (Petty Officer rank or above)

  • Strong understanding of how submarine systems interact

  • Ability to analyse complex engineering information

  • Willingness to travel to Barrow-in-Furness one week every 4–6 weeks (fully expensed)
