A leading UK defence organisation is expanding its Real-Time Embedded Software team and seeks a skilled Embedded Software Verification Engineer to qualify components of sophisticated missile and defence systems. As an Embedded Software Verification Engineer, you will join enthusiastic teams verifying real-time embedded software for advanced defence platforms. Spanning diverse work packages, you will turn requirements into robust tests, execute in labs and deliver feedback to accelerate project delivery. What you will be doing:

  • Develop structured test cases and procedures from requirements for embedded software.
  • Prepare, execute and capture data from tests in lab environments on electro-mechanical products.
  • Analyse results, provide actionable feedback to project teams and support full software lifecycle activities.
  • Troubleshoot issues using strong problem-solving and data acquisition skills.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams on safety-critical defence systems.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong V&V experience in embedded software environments, including test execution on hardware.
  • Hands-on embedded software development using Ada.
  • Proven ability to derive tests from requirements and work in lab settings.
