Solution Architect
Location: London (hybrid)
Salary: £75,000 – £100,000 (depending on experience) + 15-20% bonus + benefits
A leading global strategy and technology consultancy is growing its Digital & Data practice, seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and deliver innovative software solutions across defence, financial services, energy, and public sector. This role offers variety, technical leadership, and a clear IC career path in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.
The Role
As a Solution Architect, you\’ll bridge strategy and engineering, creating architecture artefacts and leading technical vision for client transformations. Working with interdisciplinary teams, you\’ll ensure scalable, high-performance solutions using the right tech for complex challenges.
What you will be doing
- Creating key artefacts like Key Design Decisions, Technical Options Papers, and High-Level Designs.
- Leading as SME to define vision and Architectural Guardrails for engineering teams.
- Supporting senior leaders on case for change, cost estimation, and detailed planning.
- Collaborating cross-functionally in agile environments (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) on client and internal projects.
- Hybrid working: 2+ days/week office or client site (up to 5 days during peaks).
What we are looking for
- Hands-on software engineering background, leading teams to deliver applications/services.
- Practical application of architecture methodologies (TOGAF, Zachman, MODAF) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Breadth across Business/Data/Application/Technology/Security domains; specialism in at least one.
- Agile delivery experience and stakeholder collaboration in fast-paced settings.
- Commitment to continuous learning; certifications advantageous.
