Role: AWS Solution Architect
Locations: London, Manchester, Leeds or Birmingham
Salary: £65,000 to £95,000 per annum + benefits

We are seeking AWS Solution Architects to support the design and delivery of secure, scalable cloud solutions across a range of mission-critical environments. This role is ideal for experienced cloud engineers, technical leads, or early-career architects from a consulting background looking to step into a broader architectural remit.
You will play a key role in shaping cloud strategies, modernising legacy systems, and enabling advanced technologies such as generative AI, data analytics, and cloud-native applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing AWS solutions.
- Lead cloud migration and modernisation initiatives, including mainframe transformation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, and developers.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on AWS best practices and architecture patterns.
- Optimise cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.
- Support the deployment of AI/ML models and data pipelines in production environments.
- Stay current with emerging AWS services and recommend improvements to cloud environments.
Required Skills & Experience
For Manager Level:
- 5-10 years of hands-on technical experience.
- Proven experience/exposure in cloud architecture, design, and implementation.
- Strong understanding of AWS services (e.g. EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation/Terraform).
- Experience with DevOps tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (e.g. CIS, SOC 2, HIPAA).
- Cloud certification at Associate or Professional level (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
For Associate Manager Level:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong AWS technical knowledge with some exposure to design and architecture.
- Ideal for cloud engineers or AWS consultants with deep service-level understanding.
Desirable Experience
- Background in infrastructure or networking.
- Exposure to generative AI, AWS Contact Center, data and analytics, or mainframe modernisation.
- Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud experience (e.g. Azure, GCP).
- Understanding of interoperability across cloud platforms and on-prem environments.
Additional Information
- Candidates must be eligible for UK security clearance (typically 5 years of continuous UK residency and British citizenship).
- Flexibility to travel to client sites as required.
