Software Engineer

Location: Bristol (hybrid)

Salary: £55k – £70k (depending on experience)

Are you a Java Software Engineer looking for an opportunity to work on impactful projects in national security? We are looking for an experienced engineer with 4+ years of Java and Spring Boot expertise to join our growing team.

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be part of an Agile team delivering bespoke software solutions to complex challenges. Your work will contribute to high-priority national security projects, designing and developing mission-critical systems using modern technology stacks.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and test software solutions using Java and Spring Boot
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and open-source libraries
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitLab
• Deploy software in public and private cloud environments
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions

What We’re Looking For:

• 4+ years of Java and Spring Boot experience
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Exposure to front-end technologies (JavaScript, React) is a plus
• Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (British citizen, UK resident for 5+ years)
