SOC Technical Security Service Delivery Manager

📍 Glasgow (Hybrid) | Up to £85,000 + Benefits

The role:

As a SOC Technical Security Service Delivery Manager, you will be at the heart of security operations delivery. You’ll act as the key bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, leading incident response coordination, managing service performance, and ensuring vulnerability management processes are effective and timely. Your focus will be on maintaining high standards of service delivery, driving process enhancements, and guiding technical teams through complex situations.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and coordinate incident response activities during major security events, ensuring swift and effective resolution
  • Manage service delivery performance against SLAs, providing clear reporting and operational reviews
  • Support vulnerability management by prioritising risks and facilitating remediation efforts
  • Oversee IDS/IPS signature management and security gateway health to maintain robust protections
  • Collaborate closely with delivery teams to embed best practices and drive continuous process improvements
  • Serve as a trusted escalation point and technical advisor within the SOC delivery function

What you’ll bring

  • 10+ years’ experience in Security Operations Centre service delivery or technical management
  • Deep understanding of security incident management and operational best practices
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively under pressure
  • At least 5 years’ hands-on experience in vulnerability management, IDS/IPS technologies
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex security issues into clear, actionable insights
  • Eligible for or holding UK SC security clearance
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, CISM, or equivalent
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results
