The Energy & Utilities practice partners with major UK regulated utilities to deliver complex transformation across operating models, organisational change, technology enablement, and customer experience. The team is a key growth engine for the business and is expanding its senior leadership capability to accelerate account and portfolio growth.

This is a Director-level Client Growth and Consulting Leadership role within the Energy & Utilities practice, operating at the intersection of business development, account leadership, and solution delivery. Working closely with the Energy & Utilities Portfolio Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, growing, and leading the Energy & Utilities business unit, with accountability for driving both revenue growth and delivery excellence across key strategic accounts. This is a highly commercial leadership role requiring strong experience in selling, shaping, and delivering complex consulting engagements within regulated industries (particularly utilities).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead across business development, account leadership, and solution delivery within Energy & Utilities
  • Identify, shape, and sell consulting solutions across organisational strategy, people & change, programme delivery, and technology advisory
  • Build and grow long-term client relationships at senior executive and C-suite level
  • Drive significant account growth and revenue generation across key utility clients
  • Lead complex transformation engagements while ensuring commercial success and delivery excellence
  • Develop and mentor high-performing consulting teams, acting as a formal career coach and leader
  • Contribute to and influence the Energy & Utilities portfolio strategy alongside senior leadership
  • Represent the practice externally through thought leadership, networking, and industry engagement
  • Develop proposals and lead the sales process for major consulting opportunities
What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years’ experience in management consulting, advisory, or Big 4 / professional services environments
  • Strong and demonstrable experience within the Energy & Utilities sector (essential)
  • Proven track record of business development, account growth, and solution selling
  • Experience leading and growing large, complex consulting engagements end-to-end
  • Strong credibility with senior stakeholders and experience operating at C-suite level
  • Demonstrated ability to originate and close consulting opportunities
  • Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing consulting teams
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving revenue growth
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
  • Degree educated (Master’s or professional certifications advantageous)
