We’re looking for experienced Data Architects to join a high-performing consulting team delivering complex, large-scale programmes across government and regulated industries. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and engineering - giving you the chance to shape enterprise-wide data architectures, influence critical transformation programmes, and lead teams delivering real impact.
The Role
- You’ll take ownership of data architecture across major programmes, working closely with clients and internal teams to design scalable, future-proof solutions.
- Define end-to-end data architecture for large, complex programmes.
- Shape data strategy, migration, and integration approaches.
- Design enterprise data models across structured and unstructured environments.
- Architect solutions across big data and distributed systems.
- Set architectural standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and governance across delivery.
- Engage senior stakeholders and translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop teams of engineers and architects.
What They’re Looking For
- Strong background in data architecture and software engineering.
- Experience defining data strategy, migration, and integration approaches.
- Hands-on capability with technologies like Java, Scala, or Python (when needed).
- Experience with Big Data technologies and distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and data services.
- Experience across both open-source and vendor data platforms.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture.
- Experience designing for both structured and unstructured data.
- Strong data modelling expertise.
