Energy & Utilities Cyber Security Manager
Location: London (1 day per week in office)
Salary: Up to £100,000 + Package
We're partnering with a leading consultancy to recruit an experienced Cyber Security Manager to support major organisations across the Energy, Utilities, Resources and Critical Infrastructure sectors. This is a highly client-facing role, combining strategic cyber advisory, programme delivery, stakeholder management, and business growth responsibilities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading cyber security consulting engagements from inception through to successful delivery.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, providing strategic guidance on cyber risk and security improvement programmes.
- Delivering security assessments, risk reviews, workshops, and transformation initiatives.
- Advising clients across areas including Cyber Strategy, Governance, Risk & Compliance, Security Operations, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Risk Management, and OT Security.
- Building strong relationships with client teams and influencing key security decisions.
- Managing complex programmes involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Supporting business development activities, contributing to proposals, bids, and account growth.
- Mentoring and developing junior consultants while helping to strengthen the wider cyber capability.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years' of commercial experience in cyber security consulting, specifically within the Energy & Utilities sector.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Proven experience working directly with senior leadership teams and delivering complex security programmes.
- Strong understanding of recognised cyber security frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, CAF, and NIS.
- Expertise in one or more security domains such as Security Operations, IAM, Cyber Strategy, Risk Management, or OT Security.
- Experience contributing to business development, account growth, or client relationship management activities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Ideally a background within industry, particularly Energy, Utilities, Resources, Manufacturing, or Critical National Infrastructure sectors.
