We are supporting a client in their search for a technically strong Data Architect to join their engineering function. This is a hands-on, technically deep role focused on designing and implementing scalable data models across analytical and real-time streaming domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Define and maintain data architecture standards and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data models with business needs
- Lead data integration, transformation, and migration strategies
- Maintain enterprise data models, metadata repositories, and data lineage documentation
- Optimise data products for performance, scalability, and reliability
Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years in data architecture and modelling
- Expertise in dimensional modelling, 3NF, and Data Vault 2.0
- Experience with real-time/streaming data solutions
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data modelling tools (e.g. Erwin, Lucidchart)
- Strong knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, SNS, S3, EKS, API Gateway)
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Spark, Airflow, DBT, and data governance frameworks
Preferred:
- Certifications in cloud/data technologies
- Experience with API/interface modelling and CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Actions)
- Knowledge of Atlan and iceberg tables
