Benefits & Business Case Manager London (Hybrid) | £585 per day | Inside IR35 | Initial 6-month contract
We are seeking a commercially minded Benefits & Business Case Manager to join a major central government programme.
You will play a key role in evaluating strategic investment decisions, shaping robust business cases and ensuring that programme outcomes deliver measurable economic and financial value. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will provide the analysis and evidence needed to support important funding and delivery decisions.
Key responsibilities Lead the preparation, development and assessment of business cases, applying HM Treasury Green Book principles and the Five Case Model.
Carry out economic evaluations, cost-benefit analysis and financial appraisals to assess investment options.
Define and quantify expected benefits, establishing appropriate measures to monitor and report their realisation.
Develop financial models and analytical outputs to inform programme investment decisions.
Work with stakeholders to test assumptions, validate data and ensure the robustness of business case evidence.
Communicate findings, risks and recommendations clearly to senior decision-makers.
Experience required Active SC security clearance is essential.
Strong academic or professional grounding in Economics.
Proven experience developing business cases and managing programme benefits.
Practical understanding of the HM Treasury Green Book and Five Case Model.
Background working within central government or the wider public sector.
Strong capability in financial modelling, economic analysis and cost-benefit assessment.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence engaging at senior level.
