Retail Load Pricing Analyst – UK Energy Market

We\'re working with a leading energy provider to find a Retail Load Pricing Analyst with strong experience in the UK retail energy market. This is a key role for someone who can bring commercial insight and analytical expertise to help shape pricing strategies for residential and SME customer segments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance load forecasting and pricing models for retail electricity and gas customers in the UK.
- Analyse customer usage patterns, wholesale market trends, and regulatory impacts to inform pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with trading, risk, and commercial teams to ensure pricing reflects market dynamics and margin targets.
- Support the development of innovative pricing structures and tariff design.
- Provide insight to senior stakeholders on portfolio performance and margin analysis.
Requirements
- Strong experience in UK retail energy pricing, ideally with a focus on load forecasting and cost-to-serve models.
- Solid understanding of the UK energy market structure, regulatory environment, and industry data flows (e.g. Elexon, Xoserve).
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Python, SQL, or similar tools is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills and a commercial mindset.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
