Salary: £90,000 – £115,000 (depending on experience), £5,500 car allowance, 10% bonus

We are seeking an experienced and driven Associate Director to join a prominent Renewables advisory team specialising in infrastructure. This senior role involves delivering high-quality client engagements, providing strategic and financial advice, and driving business growth within the rapidly evolving Net Zero and Renewables sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagements from inception to completion, providing robust financial and commercial advice.
  • Build and maintain enduring client relationships, ensuring high standards of service.
  • Develop and supervise complex financial models and oversee high-quality documentation and presentations.
  • Identify client needs, proposing innovative solutions to meet their objectives.
  • Drive business development, including the creation of proposals and pitches for new opportunities.
  • Leverage industry expertise and networks to generate new business opportunities.
  • Manage internal teams and external project advisers to ensure cohesive project delivery.
  • Monitor and manage engagement risk, compliance, and adherence to procedures.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management for junior team members.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a financial qualification such as ACA, CFA, or equivalent.
  • Have extensive experience with infrastructure projects, particularly PPPs/PFIs, working with both private and public sector clients.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the renewable energy sector and emerging Net Zero asset classes such as District Heat, Carbon Capture, and Hydrogen.
  • Possess a deep understanding of financing structures and commercial considerations, including public-private partnerships, project finance, and joint venture models.
  • Be proficient in financial modelling and skilled at interpreting outcomes effectively.
  • Display strong report writing and business case writing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Have a proven track record of business development, converting opportunities into successful engagements.
  • Be an effective communicator, confident in presenting to various stakeholders.
  • Exhibit independent thinking, with the ability to identify and solve complex problems.
  • Bring a strong network and reputation within the infrastructure and renewables sector.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, results-oriented mindset with a strong drive to succeed.
