Project Controllers / Project Planners
Location: Bristol or Stevenage (Hybrid, 2–3 days on site)
Salary: £50,000 – £64,000 plus bonus and benefits

A major player in the defence and aerospace sector is expanding its Project Controls function and is seeking motivated Project Controllers and Project Planners to support a range of high-profile, cutting-edge programmes. These roles offer the opportunity to contribute to complex engineering projects that are critical to national defence, while developing your career in a collaborative and supportive environment.
The role
As part of the Project Controls team, you will provide essential support across cost, schedule, risk and performance management. Working closely with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders, you will ensure that programmes are delivered on time and within budget, and that any risks or issues are identified early. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate project data and helping to inform decisions that shape some of the UK’s most advanced defence capabilities.
What you will be doing
• Supporting project health assessments and identifying risks and issues
• Validating and maintaining project schedules across major programmes
• Building and managing integrated baseline schedules
• Analysing costs, forecasts and project performance data
• Leading schedule risk analysis where appropriate
• Supporting bid teams and new business activity with robust project planning input
What we are looking for
• Experience in project planning, controls or scheduling within engineering, defence, aerospace or a similar complex environment
• Knowledge of project structures such as WBS, CBS or OBS
• Ability to interpret and analyse performance data across cost, schedule and resources
• Familiarity with project control tools such as Primavera, MS Project, SAP, ARM or Oracle Unifier
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to influence across multi-disciplinary teams
• Knowledge of baseline management, change control and earned value management would be advantageous
What’s on offer
• Salary circa £40,000 – £64,000 depending on experience
• Annual bonus up to £2,500
