We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Product Owner to join a leading global bank within the Customer Digital & Data division. This is a fantastic time to join the business as the next phase of Open Banking innovation begins, with a focus on software resilience, modern API solutions, and driving next-generation digital products.

As a Technical Product Owner, you’ll work closely with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders to define the vision, strategy, and delivery of innovative API-led solutions. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of the bank’s customer digital products, managing backlogs, optimising lifecycle performance, and delivering high-impact solutions that enable faster, more secure, and seamless experiences.

Key Skills & Expertise:

• Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner or similar role within API product development

• Strong background in API product strategy and vision, aligning technical delivery with business objectives

• Skilled in backlog and lifecycle management, including writing and prioritising user stories

• Focused on Developer Experience (DX), ensuring clear documentation, onboarding, and versioning for API consumers

• Knowledge of API technologies including REST, OpenAPI specs, and authentication methods

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value

• Familiarity with scaled agile frameworks such as SAFe, Lean Portfolio Management, or enterprise-level product delivery

• Experience driving continuous improvement and optimising product performance in large-scale environments
