Principal Solutions Architect (Software) Location: Remote (UK) – (Excludes London)A leading digital consultancy is seeking a highly experienced Principal Solutions Architect to drive the design and delivery of innovative, scalable solutions that have a real-world impact. You will play a strategic leadership role in guiding architecture across complex programmes, mentoring teams, and engaging senior stakeholders to ensure technical excellence and business value.Key Responsibilities Own and deliver high-quality architectural solutions for large-scale digital transformation programmes.Guide agile delivery teams by clarifying business outcomes, technical constraints, and architectural priorities.Lead architectural discussions with senior stakeholders, defining strategic direction and design principles.Support and grow teams of architects and engineers through mentorship, coaching, and career development.Represent architecture within account teams, contributing to customer strategy, proposals, and delivery assurance.Champion technology standards, innovation, and knowledge-sharing across the organisation.Influence policies, frameworks, and technical strategy for long-term delivery success.Balance hands-on architectural support with strategic leadership across multiple programmes.Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end architecture for varied and complex technology deliveries.strong blue-chip consulting experienceAbility to communicate architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, particularly under tight deadlines.Proven success in designing and delivering modern, multi-tier software systems.Strong understanding of solution architecture and stakeholder negotiation.Skilled in balancing non-functional requirements such as scalability, security, and performance.Engineering background with hands-on understanding of software development practices.Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including SaaS and PaaS offerings.Commercial awareness and experience influencing project or product success.Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills, including C-level engagement.Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop technical talent.Active involvement in tech communities or thought leadership.Contribution to best practices or policy development in technology delivery.Passion for driving continuous improvement in people, process, and platforms.Why Apply Competitive salary of £120,000 – £140,000 + 15% bonus + sharesFlexible hybrid/remote working options within the UKOpportunity to shape architectural direction across transformative digital programmesCollaborative, inclusive team culture focused on innovation and personal developmentWork on impactful projects that affect millions of usersIf you\’re a visionary technical leader ready to shape complex digital solutions at scale, this is a rare opportunity to join a forward-thinking consultancy where your expertise will make a difference.
