Service Designer Location: Newcastle upon Tyne β Hybrid Salary: Up to Β£55,000 The role We're looking for a Service Designer to join a multidisciplinary team working on complex digital services.

You'll be responsible for understanding the end-to-end user experience, identifying pain points and opportunities, and designing services that work effectively for both users and the wider organisation.
What you'll be doing Understand user needs and business requirements through collaboration with stakeholders and User Researchers.
Create service blueprints, user journeys and service maps to understand and improve end-to-end experiences.
Facilitate workshops with stakeholders and delivery teams.
Champion user-centred, inclusive and accessible design.
Work closely with Interaction Designers, User Researchers, Content Designers, Developers and other specialists.
Present your work and design rationale to clients and stakeholders.
Use evidence, data and user feedback to iterate and improve services.
Ensure designs align with established design systems, standards and patterns.
What we're looking for Previous experience as a Service Designer or in a similar role.
Experience working with Government Digital Service (GDS) design principles.
Strong understanding of user-centred design.
Experience influencing and negotiating with senior stakeholders.
Experience working with design systems, libraries, style guides and established patterns.
Strong communication and workshop facilitation skills.
It would be great if you also have Experience working in Agile, multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design.
Experience with HTML, Markdown, Nunjucks or other prototyping languages. xiskglj
Experience mentoring or supporting junior designers.
