As a Content Designer, you'll play a key role in making complex information, processes and services clear, accessible and easy to understand.
You'll work alongside User Researchers, UX Designers, Developers, Business Analysts and other specialists within multidisciplinary Agile teams, helping to create digital experiences that genuinely meet user needs.
What you'll be doing You'll be responsible for creating and improving both micro and long-form content, using research, data and user feedback to make digital services easier to navigate and understand.
Your responsibilities will include: Creating clear, accessible and user-focused micro and long-form content Leading content design activities and ensuring an evidence-based approach to content Using user research, data and analytics to inform content decisions Working closely with Subject Matter Experts to ensure content is accurate and appropriate Collaborating with UX Designers, User Researchers, Developers and other specialists Understanding user journeys and using UX writing to improve the overall experience Presenting and communicating your work to internal teams and client stakeholders Continuously improving content based on user feedback, research and analytics Ensuring content meets relevant accessibility, legal and regulatory requirements Working independently as the primary Content Designer / UX Writer within an Agile or Scrum team Advocating for User-Centred Design throughout the delivery process What we're looking for We're looking for an experienced Content Designer or UX Writer who understands how good content can improve the overall user experience.
You'll ideally have: Commercial experience working in a Content Design or UX Writing role Experience applying User-Centred Design principles Experience working with the Government Digital Service (GDS) Design Principles Strong experience advocating for user needs and evidence-led design Experience influencing and negotiating with senior stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience working xiskglj with brand tone of voice guidelines, design patterns and style guides The ability to simplify complex information and make it accessible to a wide range of users It would be great if you also have Experience working within an Agile/Scrum multidisciplinary team Experience using Markdown or HTML Experience working closely with User Researchers and UX Designers What's in it for you? 25 days' annual leave Private medical insurance 3 additional days' leave for charitable work Opportunity to work across multiple clients and industries Exposure to a variety of digital products and services The chance to work within a collaborative UX and Design environment A role where your work will directly influence how users interact with digital services
