Platform Engineer

Platform Engineer Stack: AWS, Kubernetes Location: Telford – Hybrid Onsite: 6 days per month Clearance: SC Clearable The Opportunity: The UK’s leading Tech Consultancy seeks an influential AWS Platform Engineer to support the build and deployment of CI/CD pipelines, leveraging DevOps automation to shape the design of critical components for high-impact Public Sector Programmes. Key Requirements: Recent Public Sector project experience – holding active SC Clearance Expertise in Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS infrastructure using Terraform. Proven experience debugging complex, multi-server services in high-availability production environments. Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Concourse, GitLab CI). Knowledge of networking, load balancing, and version control systems like Git/GitHub/GitLab. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Graphite, Grafana, ELK, Prometheus). Database experience with SQL and NoSQL systems. Hands-on experience with HashiCorp tools (Packer, Terraform, Vault, Consul). Ability to provide technical leadership, guiding projects and mentoring team members.
