Our client, a global leader in IT infrastructure services, is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join their team. This is an opportunity to work on large-scale, cutting-edge cloud solutions, driving enterprise transformation through automation, DevSecOps, and modern platform engineering. As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will:
- Design, build, and automate cloud platforms on AWS and Azure.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible to automate provisioning.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes solutions, including AKS, EKS, and OpenShift.
- Implement DevSecOps practices, integrating CI/CD pipelines and security controls.
- Optimize cloud environments using FinOps, observability tooling, and SRE methodologies.
- Work closely with Cloud Architects, Engineers, and Business Leaders to build scalable, high-performance platforms.
- Enhance networking and security capabilities across hybrid cloud environments.
The ideal Cloud Platform Engineer will have:
- Strong experience in platform engineering and cloud automation.
- Expertise in AWS and/or Azure cloud services.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD toolsets (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
- Proficiency in Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, OpenShift) and containerization (Docker).
- Knowledge of API integration, security best practices, and advanced networking.
- Experience in Agile, DevSecOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) methodologies.
- A problem-solving mindset with a passion for innovation in cloud infrastructure and automation.
The Package:
- £60,000 - £80,000 base salary
