Cyber Security Manager – Architecture & Advisory

Location: Manchester (hybrid Client Travel)

Please Note: Any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory BPSS and SC security clearance, requiring 5 years continuous UK address history at the point of application. This role also requires full British Nationality at point of application.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Manager to join a leading security consulting team, supporting complex cyber security programmes across Defence, Public Sector, Health and Central Government. This is a client-facing role focused on delivering cyber security advisory, architecture and risk management services. You will lead engagements, influence senior stakeholders and help organisations design and implement secure technology solutions across large-scale transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cyber security consulting engagements, delivering architecture, risk and advisory outcomes.
  • Design and assure secure solutions across enterprise IT environments, including cloud, networks and identity.
  • Provide strategic security guidance and translate technical risks into business-focused recommendations.
  • Conduct security assessments, threat modelling and risk analysis.
  • Support compliance against frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR and PCI-DSS.
  • Manage client relationships, project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to security capability development.
  • Support proposals, bids and business development activities.

Required Experience

  • Strong experience in cyber security consulting, architecture or advisory roles.
  • Proven ability to lead client engagements and manage senior stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, risk management and secure-by-design approaches.
  • Experience across areas such as:
  • Security Architecture
  • IAM / PAM
  • Network Security
  • Experience applying security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 or SABSA.
  • Experience working within Public Sector, Defence or regulated environments is desirable.
  • Eligibility to obtain Security clearance.
