A leading European M&A and strategy advisory firm is expanding its London-based team and looking for a high-performing Manager to deliver Commercial Due Diligence (CDD) and strategic projects for private equity firms, corporates, and institutional investors. This role offers the opportunity to work on fast-paced, high-impact deals across sectors and geographies, with exposure to both client-side M&A and internal investment initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working in a Big 4 or Tier 1 transaction strategy team, looking to take on a more hands-on leadership role with strong client exposure and a clear path to progression.
As a Manager β CDD, you will:
β’ Lead end-to-end Commercial Due Diligence engagements (buy-side and sell-side)
β’ Assess market trends, competitive dynamics, customer insights, and growth levers
β’ Deliver clear, insight-driven recommendations on target company viability and strategy
β’ Manage stakeholder relationships, including direct engagement with deal team leaders and C-suite executives
β’ Support origination activity and go-to-market initiatives
β’ Mentor and develop junior team members on live projects
β’ Collaborate across European teams to deliver on cross-border engagements
β’ Contribute to internal investment strategy and portfolio initiatives
The ideal candidate will have:
β’ 6-8 years\β experience in Commercial Due Diligence or strategy consulting, preferably with Private Equity clients
β’ A proven track record of leading transaction-focused strategy or diligence projects
β’ Strong commercial acumen and analytical thinking, with comfort working across market, financial, and operational data
β’ Confidence managing small teams (e.g. an SA and Analyst) through the project lifecycle
β’ Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and managing delivery under tight timelines
β’ Experience in sectors such as technology, healthcare, business services, or industrials (preferred but not essential)
β’ An MBA or equivalent qualification is a plus
β’ Full right to work in the UK
