The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Mainframe Engineer / Consultant looking to take on high-impact projects in enterprise IT environments? This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge modernization initiatives, ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of mission-critical mainframe systems.

In this hands-on role, you will provide technical expertise in IBM z/OS, DB2, CICS, IMS, and RACF, driving optimization and transformation efforts across complex infrastructure landscapes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance, integrate cloud technologies, and implement DevOps automation, ensuring seamless operations in high-availability environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support enterprise mainframe solutions, optimizing IBM z/OS, DB2, CICS, IMS, and RACF.
Conduct system administration, tuning, and capacity planning to enhance performance and resilience.
Lead mainframe modernization initiatives, integrating cloud-based technologies and automation.
Implement DevOps methodologies to streamline mainframe operations using tools such as REXX, JCL, and Ansible.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues, ensuring business continuity and security compliance.
Provide strategic recommendations to improve scalability, security, and efficiency.
Develop technical documentation, best practices, and knowledge-sharing materials for internal and client teams.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of experience in mainframe engineering, administration, or consulting.
Deep expertise in IBM mainframe technologies (z/OS, JCL, DB2, CICS, IMS, RACF, MQ).
Strong background in performance tuning, capacity management, and high-availability configurations.
Experience with scripting and automation (REXX, JCL, Ansible).
Knowledge of cloud integration, containerization, and microservices architectures.
Understanding of mainframe security best practices and industry compliance standards.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with strong communication abilities.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud integration.
Exposure to Agile and DevOps methodologies in mainframe environments.
Hands-on experience with database administration and optimization for DB2 and IMS.
Certifications in mainframe technologies or cloud computing.
