We are supporting a leading digital, cyber and intelligence business on a UX Designer role within their Digital Experience community. The team designs secure, accessible and user-led digital services for government and national security customers. This is not a pure UI role. You’ll be working across the full user-centred design lifecycle, from discovery through to delivery, using research, insight and evidence to shape products and services used in complex, high-impact environments.
What you’ll be doing:
- Planning and supporting user research and usability testing
- Turning user needs and research insight into design decisions
- Creating personas, needs analysis, wireframes, prototypes and information architecture
- Designing interface interactions through an iterative, evidence-based approach
- Producing GUI mock-ups, style guides and visual design concepts
- Working closely with stakeholders, developers and multidisciplinary delivery teams
- Communicating research findings, design rationale and user needs clearly

We’d like to see:
- Strong UX design experience across the UCD lifecycle
- Experience with user research, usability testing and insight-led design
- Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, personas, IA and interface concepts
- Comfortable working with stakeholders, developers and agile delivery teams
- Good communication skills and ability to explain design rationale
