Senior Test Automation Engineer London / Hybrid £65,000 - £75,000 Base Are you a hands-on Test Automation Engineer looking to take ownership of automation strategy, influence quality engineering best practices, and work on large-scale digital transformation programmes? We're working with a leading digital consultancy that is continuing to grow its Quality Engineering capability and is looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer who can combine strong technical expertise with client-facing consulting skills. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying close to the code while helping shape automation approaches across complex delivery environments. What You'll Be Doing Building, maintaining and enhancing scalable test automation frameworks Writing and reviewing automation code across modern technology stacks Working with delivery teams to embed quality engineering best practices Conducting automation assessments and identifying areas for improvement Leveraging tools such as Playwright, GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted engineering solutions Collaborating directly with clients to solve complex quality and testing challenges What We're Looking For Strong commercial experience in Test Automation Engineering within a consulting environment Hands-on expertise with Playwright and modern automation frameworks Coding experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java or C# Experience working across cloud environments such as AWS or Azure Exposure to AI-assisted engineering tools and modern Quality Engineering practices Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work directly with clients
