You’ll lead high-profile client engagements, shape transformation strategies, and work directly with senior stakeholders to deliver complex business change across areas including product, engineering, cloud, commercial and customer operations.

The Role

As a Senior Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading multiple transformation programmes from strategy through to implementation, helping clients redesign operating models, improve governance, optimise organisational structures and deliver technology-enabled change. You’ll play a key role in growing the Enterprise Transformation capability through client delivery, business development and mentoring junior consultants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex enterprise transformation and operating model engagements across Technology, Media & Telecommunications clients.
  • Design and implement Target Operating Models (TOMs) covering organisation, governance, processes, capabilities, sourcing and delivery models.
  • Lead large-scale business transformation programmes resulting from technology change, M&A, new product launches, cost optimisation, outsourcing and organisational redesign.
  • Assess current operating models and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, governance and performance.
  • Manage programme governance including planning, RAID management, dependency tracking, benefits realisation and SteerCo reporting.
  • Facilitate workshops and present recommendations to C-suite and senior client stakeholders.
  • Lead multidisciplinary consulting teams and develop junior consultants.
  • Support proposals, business development activities and thought leadership within the practice.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in operating model design, business transformation, programme delivery or large-scale change, gained in consulting ideally within a Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector.
  • Strong experience of operating model design and large change projects, preferably within a consulting environment or a technology, media, software, digital platform or related business.
  • Excellent track record of target operating model design and implementation, including structured business analysis, functional decomposition, sourcing model design, data model design, organisational model design and high-level technology architecture.
  • Experience designing future-state operating models resulting from a range of change catalysts, such as core platform change, new products, mergers and acquisitions, start-up or scale-up activity, cost reduction, outsourcing or globalisation.
  • Very strong knowledge of PMO disciplines, including planning, status reporting, SteerCo reporting, risk management, issue management, dependency management and benefits tracking.
  • Hands-on experience across a range of project types, including organisational assessments, strategy reviews, process re-engineering, sourcing model design and technology implementations.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the challenges facing technology and media businesses, including platform complexity, product and engineering scale, content operations, commercial model change, customer growth, cost pressure and the need for clearer governance.
  • You have experience leading complex stakeholder environments and can build credibility with senior client teams across product, engineering, finance, procurement, legal, contracts, technology, commercial, operations and corporate functions.
  • You can prepare and present clear, well-structured analysis, reports and presentations to senior client staff using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • You have a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong capability in the analysis and presentation of data.
  • You have strong commercial awareness, a good understanding of project profitability and budget management, and are comfortable supporting business development activity.
  • You have experience managing and guiding the development of less experienced staff, with a desire to develop your line management and mentoring skills.
