Senior Cyber Security Consultant – AI & Emerging Technologies
Up to £89,000 + Package | UK (Hybrid)
We’re partnered with a major organisation operating in high-assurance, mission-critical environments, looking to bring in a Senior Cyber Security Consultant with strong exposure to AI, GenAI and Agentic AI. This role sits at the intersection of cyber security, artificial intelligence, and advisory consulting. It’s ideal for someone who understands not just how AI systems work, but how to secure, govern, and deploy them responsibly in complex, regulated environments.
The Opportunity
- You’ll act as a senior security advisor on programmes involving AI-enabled systems, helping clients and internal stakeholders understand and manage the cyber, privacy, and operational risks introduced by GenAI and autonomous agents.
- The role combines hands-on technical depth, consultative stakeholder engagement, and forward-looking security strategy — with real influence over how AI is adopted securely at scale.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead cyber security activities across programmes involving AI, GenAI and Agentic AI systems.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with AI models, data pipelines, APIs, and autonomous agents.
- Advise on secure architecture, governance, and control frameworks for AI-enabled platforms.
- Translate complex AI security risks into clear, actionable guidance for senior stakeholders.
- Support secure-by-design approaches across cloud, data, and AI solutions.
- Contribute to cyber strategy, policy development, and assurance in regulated or high-risk environments.
- Mentor junior consultants and act as a technical authority within cyber and AI domains.
What They’re Looking For
This is a senior consultant, not a pure engineer or researcher. Key experience includes:
- Strong background in cyber security consulting or advisory roles.
- Practical experience securing AI / GenAI systems, including model risk, data security, and supply chain considerations.
- Understanding of Agentic AI and the risks introduced by autonomous decision-making systems.
- Experience with cloud security (Azure preferred), data security, identity, and access controls.
- Ability to work with architects, engineers, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience operating in regulated, sensitive, or high-assurance environments.
- Awareness of relevant standards and frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001, AI governance frameworks).
Why This Role Stands Out
- Rare opportunity to specialise in AI security at senior consultant level.
- Exposure to cutting-edge AI use cases with real-world impact.
- Strong balance of technical depth and strategic influence.
- Clear progression and investment in specialist capability.
