We’re searching for a Senior Data Engineer with experience in a Cap Markets/Commodities environment to join a London based team operating on the cutting edge with their proprietary trading tech. They are a specialist name in commodities, known for the impact they have had on the adoption of renewable energy, making this mean much, much more than just your next data role in trading.

This is a role geared towards those highly skilled in data scraping, parsing, extraction and automation with knowledge of the SDLC, with experience in a trading environment.

The company is a boutique but global commodities firm with a global presence. Their teams are highly technical from a range of different skilled backgrounds. Their platforms have been essential in spurring on the world’s adoption of renewable energy and much, much more.

The ideal person:

  • 7+ years experience in data engineering roles, most recently working with traders on FO applications.
  • Background in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Analysis, Data Science, Information Systems, or commensurate experience.
  • Experience with Commodities or Financial Markets (front office applications).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for Data Crawling, Parsing, etc. Master Pandas library.
  • Experience with Analytical / Time-series databases (e.g. Redshift, Clickhouse).
  • Cloud and devops experience (AWS).
