Cyber Security Engineer Security Engineer Location: London – Hybrid Salary: £50,000 - £67,000 benefits The role We're looking for a Security Engineer to join a growing engineering team working across complex client environments, including cloud, on-premises and hybrid infrastructure. You'll work across security engineering, automation, security tooling and infrastructure, helping clients identify and manage risk while strengthening their security posture.
What you'll be doing
Design and implement security tools, systems and processes. Work across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments. Automate security processes, including SIEM and log ingestion. Manage firewalls and network security. Carry out infrastructure security assessments using standards such as CIS Benchmarks. Work with engineering and security teams to embed security best practice. Support security monitoring, incident response and threat intelligence.
What we're looking for
Experience in some of the following: Cyber security and platform engineering.
SIEM: Splunk, Sentinel, Cribl or ELK.
Cloud: AWS, Azure or GCP.
Scripting: Python, Bash or PowerShell. Networking, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management or endpoint security.
IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation or Bicep. Linux/WSL and CI/CD environments. SOC or security operations experience. Experience with AI security/hardening or DevSecOps would also be beneficial. On-call support may be required for high-priority incidents, with additional compensation provided.
