Overview

In this role you will help clients turn complex datasets into clear insights to support decision-making. You will own reporting and visualisation work within transformation programmes, collaborating with data engineers and stakeholders. You’ll design dashboards, maintain semantic models, and drive data-governance and metadata practices. This role offers hands-on delivery, client interaction, and impact across executive-level reporting and data storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop dashboards and reports using Power BI
  • Build and maintain semantic data models
  • Support upstream data requirements with data engineers and architects
  • Translate client requirements into clear, actionable reporting solutions
  • Independently manage reporting workstreams within larger transformation programmes
  • Analyse data to identify trends, risks and opportunities
  • Present complex findings through visual storytelling
  • Produce reporting for executive-level stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve data-quality issues affecting reporting outcomes
  • Support data-governance standards, metric definitions and data-ownership models
  • Contribute to data catalogues, metadata repositories and business glossaries
  • Train users and support adoption of reporting solutions
  • Produce high-quality client deliverables and recommendations

Key requirements

  • Around three years’ experience in a consulting or client-facing environment
  • Strong Power BI reporting and dashboard-development skills
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation and analysis
  • Experience building and maintaining semantic data models
  • Knowledge of dimensional modelling, including Star Schema and Kimball principles
  • Experience working with data engineers, architects and product owners
  • Confidence presenting data insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to wider project teams
