Lead Salesforce Architect in City of London

A global consultancy organisation is seeking a highly experienced Salesforce Architect to lead complex digital transformation projects across strategic enterprise clients. This role is ideal for a visionary leader with deep expertise in Salesforce platforms, enterprise architecture, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders within major enterprise accounts, providing strategic guidance and insight.
• Deliver scalable, best-practice solutions tailored to exceed client expectations and business needs.
• Lead the evaluation and translation of business and technical requirements into innovative Salesforce solutions that maximise platform value.
• Identify and mitigate architectural and business risks with proactive solution design.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external collaborators to support successful delivery.
• Function as the lead architect across engagements, aligning and coordinating the work of multiple technical teams.
• Partner with project and engagement managers to drive strategic planning, execution and stakeholder alignment.
• Oversee and validate project direction, including solution vision, implementation roadmap and critical artefacts.
• Direct early-stage solution evaluations, resolving challenges through collaboration with client executives, engineering, product, and account teams.
• Mentor and guide diverse teams across both technical delivery and non-technical disciplines, such as executive communication and strategic influence.
• Contribute to internal initiatives, thought leadership, and knowledge sharing to support continuous growth and innovation.
• Collaborate with the pre-sales team to produce proposals covering architecture design, data migration, integration, security, compliance, and delivery planning.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 12+ years in consulting and enterprise architecture, with proven leadership in driving large-scale digital transformations within matrix organisations.
• 8+ years of experience in Salesforce architecture across key areas including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Data Cloud, and integration platforms.
• Strong capability in business process analysis, solution design, and technology integration.
• Experience advising stakeholders on the adoption and implementation of emerging technologies aligned with business goals.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce implementation projects, ideally with direct platform development expertise.
• Expertise in system design, business process optimisation, and identifying architectural gaps and opportunities.
• In-depth understanding of Salesforce platforms and products, including best practices for maximising ROI.
• Quick to learn new technologies, with excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with the Salesforce AppExchange ecosystem and its integration within enterprise solutions.
• Strong knowledge of data security, single sign-on (SSO), and compliance frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead architecture design sessions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comprehensive experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a Senior Architect, CIO, or CTO within medium to large enterprises undergoing digital transformation highly desirable.
• Track record of delivering complex enterprise Salesforce applications, including custom-coded solutions a major advantage.
• Salesforce Industries experience and Salesforce certifications highly desirable.
• Strong grasp of web services, data modelling, and enterprise integration, including ESB, ETL, and ERP/CMS/HRIS/DWH systems.
• Certification in Agile delivery frameworks, e.g., Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred.
