An opportunity has become available for an Information Assurance Consultant to join a leading technology consultancy delivering cyber security and Secure by Design services across high-profile Government, Defence and Critical National Infrastructure programmes. This role offers the chance to work on complex, business-critical projects, providing expert security assurance, risk‑based advice and Secure by Design guidance throughout the system lifecycle.

Working closely with technical teams and senior stakeholders, you'll help organisations embed security from the outset while supporting major digital transformation programmes. Although the position is open to candidates across the UK, preference will be given to those based in or near Manchester, Cheltenham or London. The role is predominantly home‑based, with occasional travel to client sites as required.

What You Need
  • Experience delivering Information Assurance, Secure by Design or Cyber Security consultancy within complex environments
  • Strong understanding of security assurance frameworks, secure system lifecycle principles and risk-based security approaches
  • Knowledge of NCSC guidance, NIST, GovS 007 and Secure by Design principles
  • Experience producing security assurance documentation including threat and risk assessments, security management plans and accreditation evidence
  • Ability to communicate security risks and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior client stakeholders
  • Experience delivering security assurance within Public Sector, Defence, Critical National Infrastructure or highly regulated environments
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently while maintaining high-quality delivery
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 or similar are highly desirable
  • Eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC), including meeting the required UK residency criteria
