Health Lead Sector Architect (Senior Manager / Director)
Hybrid – UK wide (flexible location)
£120,000-£160,000 + bonus – Permanent
If you're an architecture leader passionate about transforming the health and care landscape, this role gives you the opportunity to shape how technology improves outcomes for patients, clinicians, and the wider NHS ecosystem.
You'll work with senior stakeholders across NHS and private healthcare organisations, defining and delivering architecture strategies that enable digitally connected, data-driven health services. This is a senior, client-facing leadership role – blending deep technical credibility with strategic vision to help drive meaningful sector change.
What you'll be doing
- Lead end-to-end technology and business transformations across NHS and healthcare organisations.
- Define strategic architecture roadmaps that align with national standards and digital health priorities.
- Drive innovation in Cloud, Data, AI, and interoperability, shaping next-generation digital health platforms.
- Act as a trusted advisor to C-level and clinical leaders, helping them modernise operations and patient services.
- Collaborate globally to develop sector-specific assets and propositions that accelerate client impact.
Experience required
- 10-15+ years' experience delivering enterprise architecture or solution design within Health or NHS environments.
- Proven success leading large-scale EPR, interoperability, or digital transformation programmes (e.g. EPIC, Cerner).
- In-depth understanding of NHS technology standards such as FHIR, HL7, DTAC, and NHS Information Standards.
- Strong grasp of cloud, data, and AI technologies applied to healthcare modernisation.
- Recognised certifications such as TOGAF, SAFe, or major cloud vendor accreditations (AWS, Azure, GCP).
(Director-level applicants should also bring business development experience, vendor alliance leadership, and thought leadership in digital health innovation.)
