Our client is a fast-growing SaaS platform on a mission to help organisations measure and improve their people and culture initiatives. They’re a team of innovators, problem-solvers, and builders who believe in creating meaningful, measurable impact — combining AI-driven insights with scalable, user-focused design.
They’re partnered with a start-up consultancy that embeds experienced engineering teams into early-stage companies, helping them scale from pre-seed through to Series A and beyond. This consultancy acts as the interim tech team for founders who are growing fast — so joining them means working directly on real-world problems that shape the future of early-stage products.
The Role
You’ll join as a Founding Engineer, working closely with the CEO and technical leads to rebuild and enhance the platform after the departure of the original founding engineer. It’s a broad, hands-on role that suits someone who thrives in a start-up environment — building end-to-end, making architecture decisions, and influencing long-term product direction.
You’ll work across a modern full-stack environment — from frontend React and TypeScript to backend Node.js and AWS infrastructure — with the opportunity to introduce AI-driven capabilities using LLMs and agentic AI frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and optimise core features across the SaaS platform.
- Collaborate directly with founders and interim engineers to define product direction.
- Integrate AI-driven functionality (LLMs, agentic AI) to enhance user experience.
- Lead on architectural decisions and ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
- Contribute to DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure improvements across AWS/GCP.
Tech Environment
- Frontend: React, TypeScript
- Backend: Node.js, Python
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB
- Cloud & Infra: AWS, GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, Serverless
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions
What They’re Looking For
- Strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and AWS (full-stack).
- Proven track record in building and maintaining SaaS products.
- High autonomy — comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced, early-stage setting.
- Confident working remotely with occasional travel to Dublin.
- (Bonus) Experience with AI/LLM integrations such as LangChain or aisdk.
Why Apply
This is a rare opportunity to join a growing start-up at a pivotal moment — with real ownership, autonomy, and a clear pathway to grow into a technical leadership role. You’ll help shape both the product and the engineering culture while working alongside a consultancy that regularly partners with emerging start-ups — giving you exposure to multiple scaling businesses and future opportunities to lead new builds.
If you’re a hands-on engineer looking to make a genuine impact, this is the kind of role that puts you at the centre of innovation from day one.
