Lead SOC Architect
Location: Frimley
Working: Hybrid Frimley requires only a few days per month on site
Salary: £85,000 - £100,000

We're looking for an experienced Lead SOC Architect to join a leading organisation delivering complex security and defence solutions.
The Role
As a Lead SOC Architect, you'll be responsible for designing and shaping Security Operations Centre solutions for high-profile customers. You'll work across architecture, design, deployment and operational capability, considering people, processes, technology and infrastructure. You'll work closely with senior client stakeholders to understand requirements, develop solutions and improve the maturity and effectiveness of existing SOC environments.
What you'll be doing
- Architect and design end-to-end SOC solutions across people, process, technology and infrastructure.
- Work across the full lifecycle from concept and architecture through to deployment and operation.
- Design and support security tooling across SIEM, SOAR, EDR, vulnerability management and threat intelligence.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to define security and accreditation requirements.
- Assess existing security capabilities and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop scalable, resilient and secure on-premise and cloud architectures.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and solutions to address complex requirements.
What we're looking for
- Strong experience in SOC architecture and security operations.
- Hands-on knowledge of at least two of SIEM, SOAR, EDR, Vulnerability Management or Threat Intelligence.
- Strong understanding of cloud and on-premise security architecture.
- Experience with security best practices including least privilege, encryption and resilient architecture.
- Experience working with government or defence environments and senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
- Strong understanding of common threats, risk assessment and vulnerability management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work confidently with both technical and senior stakeholders.
