A leading UK technology consultancy is expanding its Platforms capability and seeks an experienced Cloud Platform Leader to drive cloud transformation for major public sector programmes. This role offers the chance to shape next-generation cloud platforms powering national services, while advancing your leadership in a dynamic, agile environment.
The role involves leading the delivery of scalable cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) underpinning large-scale public sector transformations. You will collaborate with agile, multi-disciplinary teams and C-level stakeholders to define architectural principles, drive migrations and modernisation, ensuring platforms deliver secure, compliant outcomes that impact millions.
What you will be doing:
- Leading end-to-end delivery of cloud platforms for complex programmes (e.g., migrations, app modernisation, web deployments).
- Establishing blueprints, standards and strategic direction, balancing functional/non-functional requirements.
- Building executive relationships, translating technical complexity into business decisions for positive outcomes.
- Coaching teams, fostering agile practices and guiding career development within the Platforms capability.
- Driving technology advancement, contributing to account growth and acting as a technology ambassador.
- Making critical tech decisions in fast-paced, high-stakes public sector environments.
What we are looking for:
- Proven leadership in public sector cloud transformations.
- Deep experience with AWS, Azure or GCP (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) and large-scale platform delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management at C-level, with agile team leadership.
