The Role The successful candidate will work closely with clients, technical teams, and business stakeholders to design, build, and maintain robust data solutions that support critical business objectives.
They'll bring a blend of software engineering principles, data engineering expertise, and leadership skills to deliver high-quality solutions while helping teams adopt best practices and evolving technologies.
Key Responsibilities Design, build, optimise, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
Apply software engineering and DataOps best practices to develop, test, and deploy reliable data solutions.
Work with stakeholders to understand business challenges, define requirements, and translate them into technical deliverables.
Collaborate with data architects, data scientists, analysts, and other engineering teams.
Lead technical delivery, establish effective engineering practices, and support the successful delivery of data projects.
Facilitate design discussions and contribute to the selection of appropriate data technologies and platform solutions.
Develop and maintain cloud-based data infrastructure and storage solutions.
Ensure data solutions meet requirements for security, governance, modelling, orchestration, and performance.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and contribute to the development of wider data engineering capabilities.
