A newly formed AI Practice is seeking a Business Development Director to lead growth across enterprise and public sector clients. This is a strategic hire for a team at the forefront of AI adoption, offering the opportunity to shape how clients approach emerging technologies in 2025 and beyond.
This role suits commercially focused individuals with a track record of selling AI solutions, bespoke software, or infrastructure services. The ideal candidate will be proactive, curious, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving space.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead on identifying and closing new business opportunities across AI services
- Engage directly with clients to understand challenges and position tailored solutions
- Collaborate closely with delivery, partner, and industry teams to shape propositions
- Manage the full sales lifecycle from lead generation through to contract
- Maintain accurate records using Salesforce or similar CRM tools
- Contribute to the evolution of service offerings in response to market trends
- Represent the AI practice at relevant events and client meetings
- Use personal network and market insight to generate leads
- Actively contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team environment
- Minimum 6 years of business development experience in technology or consulting
- 1+ year of experience selling AI-focused solutions or platforms
- Background in selling bespoke software or infrastructure (not just product sales)
- Industry experience in one or more of: Telco, Insurance, Banking, Utilities, Retail, Manufacturing, Public Sector
- Strong understanding of AI trends and the ability to translate these into client value
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a self-starting attitude
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
- Eligibility for SC clearance (preferred)
