We are looking for a highly experienced Consumer Markets Lead Sector Architect at Director level to play a pivotal role in shaping technology-enabled business platforms and driving transformation across the consumer markets sector. This includes working with leading organisations in retail, consumer packaged goods (CPG), retail pharma, and related industries.
You will lead the design and delivery of complex end-to-end architecture solutions, craft visionary roadmaps, and bring innovative perspectives to accelerate clients’ strategies. Acting as both a thought leader and hands-on architect, you will mentor teams, oversee major programmes, and guide clients through digital transformation journeys.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement end-to-end architecture solutions for major consumer markets clients.
- Shape and advance technology and architectural reference assets to maintain cutting-edge capabilities.
- Provide technical oversight across multiple programmes, ensuring delivery aligns with architectural vision.
- Bring outside-in perspectives to help clients adopt new and emerging technologies.
- Mentor and develop architects, driving capability growth across areas such as cloud, data, AI, and digital platforms.
- Support business development activities alongside client delivery.
- Lead innovation initiatives in areas including digital commerce, omnichannel retail, and supply chain transformation.
- Deep expertise in Consumer Markets technology and business architecture, with experience in direct-to-consumer, digital commerce, customer experience platforms, and digital supply chain.
- Proven ability to design and deliver large-scale, technology-enabled platforms for Tier 1 clients.
- Strong skills in end-to-end solution architecture and enterprise architecture.
- Demonstrated leadership in shaping and managing multidisciplinary teams on complex transformation programmes.
- Familiarity with the vendor landscape in consumer markets, with certifications such as TOGAF or SAFe (desirable).
- Strong knowledge of cloud, data, and AI technologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, from C-suite to operational levels.
- Adaptable, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Competitive base salary of £140,000 – £175,000.
- £6,000 car allowance (or cash equivalent).
- 10% annual bonus.
