A leading global consulting firm is growing its Defence practice and is looking for Consultants and Managers to support major defence organisations, aerospace manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers and government defence clients. This is not a purely strategy-led role. You’ll be working at the intersection of strategy, operations and technology transformation, helping clients understand complex business problems, shape practical recommendations and carry those recommendations through into delivery.
You’ll get exposure to senior stakeholders, nationally important programmes and large-scale transformation work across areas such as supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, quality, digital engineering and complex programme delivery.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working in focused consulting teams across Aerospace & Defence clients
- Owning a workstream within broader transformation programmes
- Analysing data, identifying insights and developing practical recommendations
- Running client workshops across problem-solving, innovation and requirements gathering
- Presenting findings to senior client stakeholders
- Supporting implementation and delivery, not just advisory work
- Contributing to proposals, sales materials and thought leadership
- At Manager level, leading workstreams, coaching junior consultants and shaping delivery
Core Environment:
- Manufacturing and quality
- Supply chain and procurement
We’d like to see:
- Aerospace & Defence experience, either consulting or industry-side
- Transformation project experience across operations, programmes, supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, digital or quality
- Strong functional knowledge in at least one relevant area
- Ability to analyse complex problems and turn findings into clear recommendations
- Experience working with senior stakeholders in a client-facing or internal transformation role
- Comfortable supporting implementation and delivery
For Consultant level: around 3+ years A&D consulting experience, or 5+ years industry transformation experience
For Manager level: around 5+ years A&D consulting experience, or 8+ years industry experience, ideally with workstream or team leadership
Benefits:
- Work on high-profile Aerospace & Defence transformation programmes
- Build a consulting career with a globally recognised brand
- Gain exposure to senior stakeholders and nationally important work
- Move beyond pure advisory into real implementation and delivery
- Access structured training, progression and global career opportunities
- Strong route into Manager-level consulting or future senior industry roles
Please note: due to the nature of the work, you must be eligible for UK security clearance. This typically requires 5 years UK residency with no long absences. This could suit someone already in Defence consulting, or someone from industry who has been driving transformation, operational improvement, supply chain change, manufacturing improvement, procurement, digital engineering or complex programme delivery.
